Getting Home Safely After Outpatient Surgery

Most surgical centers will not discharge you to a rideshare. Here's how to plan the ride home.
Why rideshare gets refused
Surgical centers require a responsible adult to receive the patient at discharge. A rideshare driver cannot sign for a patient, cannot assist them and will not wait. Many facilities will cancel the procedure on the spot if there is no plan.
What we do instead
Our drivers sign in and out for inpatient and outpatient procedures at no extra cost. The rider is escorted from the discharge desk to the vehicle and from the vehicle into their home — not the driveway.
Book both directions
Book the ride home when you book the ride in. Discharge times slip constantly, so set the return as call-when-ready and let the facility tell us when they are done.
