Hospital Discharge and Post-Surgery Transportation

A safe ride home when you cannot drive yourself

After surgery, sedation or an inpatient stay, hospitals will not release a patient to drive — and most will not release them to a rideshare either. We are the ride that gets people home properly.

Discharge is unpredictable. Paperwork clears at eleven or at four, and families cannot always drop everything to be at the curb. Our dispatch team works with case managers, discharge planners and family members to hold a window, stay in contact with the floor and roll when the patient is actually ready.

Post-procedure riders need more help than usual, and drivers plan for it: assistance from the discharge door to the vehicle, careful loading for patients who are sore, sedated or unsteady, a calm ride without unnecessary stops, and help all the way inside the home — not a drop at the driveway. Prescriptions can be picked up on the way home as an added stop.

We handle discharges from hospitals, outpatient surgery centers, endoscopy and imaging centers, emergency departments and rehabilitation facilities, plus transfers to skilled nursing, assisted living and hospice care. Ambulatory, wheelchair, bariatric and stretcher-level patients are all supported.

Facilities can set up an account and book by phone with a written quote and trip verification on completion. Families can book directly the day before or the same day; call dispatch as soon as a discharge is expected so we can hold a vehicle.
